Another picture of you and your friends
I’ve skipped day 10, sorry.
But look, here we are on Mount Victoria at the end of our picnic. Wellington is in the background.

Something you’re proud of in the past few days
Here are a few things:
- posted presents in time for Christmas. Success! Buying presents for my nieces and nephews was easier this year
- won an online poker tournament. Last month I won $1,000 playing poker, and I’m stiff chuffed
- exchanged sandals for a smaller size. Weird. I bought sandals online, but when they arrived they were too big. I phoned a shoe store and asked if they would exchange them for the same style in a smaller size, which they did
Also this weekend I plan to fire a gun for the first time in my life. I’m already a little nervous.

Short term goals for this month
Here are some of my goals for this month:
- post presents in time for Christmas. Hopefully my nieces and nephews will get them in time
- print & frame photographs. I’ve printed and framed 12 so far, I’d like to hang around 30 photographs
- complete my application for citizenship. In February I can apply to be a New Zealand citizen. I’ve already downloaded the form
- design a wedding invitation. A colleague at work asked me to design his wedding invitations
I’m not sure if I’ll finish them all, this month is pretty busy.

A picture of someone or something that’s had the biggest impact on you

Mark Rothko, Orange and Yellow, 1956
Look. A large orange and yellow oil painting. This is a color field. Color fields are very large paintings of color.

Favorite super hero and why
My favorite super hero is Naruto. You probably don’t know who that is. Here’s a picture of him:

Naruto is the most read manga in the world, but I only know a few people who read it. The first issue was published in 1997 and the 520th chapter was released last week. Each chapter has around 18 pages of content.

A picture of somewhere you’ve been to
I took this picture of a fruit stand in China.

It was the first time I haggled, and I haggled for everything in Beijing, even water.

A habit that you wish you didn’t have
A stranger knocks on a door.
“Hi, my name is Dave. I saw you in the hall and decided to introduce myself.”
“Hi, my name is Jeff. Sorry, but I have to go to class, I’m late.”
“Cool, it was nice to meet you Kevin.”
What just happened? Did he call me Kevin?

A picture of you and your friends
When I was living in Washington government employees, diplomats, journalists and lawyers surrounded me. D.C. was a hard place to live. Every conversation was about the current law, a proposed law or the Bush administration. It made me want to get the hell out of there.

The meaning behind your blog name
Sometime around the start of college, I flew to San Francisco to see my sister Kim and her husband-to-be. We have the most in common out of my siblings. There are four of us, including me, and we’re all three or four years apart.
Growing up, my siblings and I weren’t friends. My brother hated me. Kim was our babysitter, and we were horrible shits. My oldest sister was in college, a few hours away from our home.

15 interesting facts about myself
This started as facts but ended up being a timeline. Sorry about that.
1. I was born with a tight nuchal cord, Morton’s toes and an unusually large space between my big toe and long toe on each foot. The extra space helps me use my toes as fingers, so I can dazzle you by picking up socks and pens without using my hands
