Religion! Why do you insist on ruling our lives? I had this conversation last night:

“I’m Catholic. What are you?”

“Nothing, I’m not religious,” I said.

“What?”

“Well I was raised a Catholic but,”

“So you’re Catholic too.” She thought that was the end of the conversation.

“No, I’m not a Catholic, I was only raised a Catholic. I’m at least an atheist, if not an antitheist.”

“What? But you were baptized so you’re Catholic.”

“Not exactly, I didn’t choose to be baptized.”

“Well were you confirmed?”

“Yes, I was confirmed but we were told to either be confirmed or burn in hell. What would you expect?”1

Yea, sorry about that… needed to get it out of my head!
