Girl scouts spread terror

March 29th, 2007 · 6 Comments

I received Samoas in the mail this week! I shared this news with Isha1.

“My mom sent me Samoas. They’re girl scout cookies.”

“Samoas? What’s in them?”

“Coconut and-”

“You racist!”

Racist? No! Most Americans (and girl scouts) don’t know about Samoa. To clarify:

  • Samoas are girl scout cookies
  • Samoa is a country in the South Pacific Ocean
  • Samoans are people from Samoa

I suspect if the girl scouts infiltrated New Zealand they would sell Samoas as Caramel deLites instead.

1. Isha is Indonesian and his middle name is Furmuncher. I wish my middle name was this interesting.

You have the best mom in the whole world! Who else would send you Samoas?

Furmuncher. I love it. I know a guy named Booty and his wife’s name is Fanny. They’re Indonesian, too. Hmm I sense a trend.

Yes, I do have the best mom in the whole world! And Booty and Fanny! I love that! You know what fanny means in New Zealand? Let’s just say it doesn’t mean your butt.

Look at the anti-American sentiment and I’m sure you’ll find the world would rather not have sticky fingers from eating Samoas.

When Americans name things perhaps they should have more respect for other cultures & brush up on their geography before trying to assert their culture on the rest of the world.

Well. I’ll just say Samoas are only available in the States and Americans own American Samoa as a territory. Boo.

    That makes it even worse!!!!
