i like butter, don’t you?

A pox on you, banking devil!

When I order coffee I choose a short or long black, which is coffee with a dash of water, and Andy (my coffee buddy) enjoys a doppio cappucino, which is a foamy liquid with chocolate sprinkles. This morning I stopped at my Westpac ATM to withdrawal money to feed my coffee addiction. I put my card into the machine, chose twenty bucks, and took my card out. Now, some people say the purpose of an ATM is to withdrawal money. Oh no, not in my world!

This morning, on the 22nd of March, 2007, I forgot to snatch that colorful Kiwi twenty dollar bill from the machine. Someone, somewhere, spill a bucket of water over my head. By the time I noticed my wallet was missing twenty dollars, it was almost time to pay for our coffees. I feel stupid. And strangely, I feel robbed! Or is it more appropriate to say burgled?

I walked back to the machine to see if the money was there. It wasn’t. Rightfully so, if I saw money hanging out of an ATM I would take it. The feeling of guilt might compel me to return it to the bank, but I guess I’ll never know.

As you can see the blog has changed, again. I’m not for bulk photography. I miss writing, too.

Yay! You’re writing! Really, I love the photos, but I was sort of missing the stories, you know?

Did you notice how much I try to post photos on my blog? Thats your influence. I like that you influence me from however-many thousand miles away.

That ok - in the package we just sent, there’s $11 in kiwi money that we found when we got home! So that’s found money for you.

    I miss your writing, too.

I have done similarly dumb things with the ATM, things so ridiculous that I think to myself, “Daaamn, my parents really pissed that money they spent on my college education right down the drain, didn’t they?”

My last one involved thinking it would be “fun” to go through the ATM process in a different language. So I chose Polish. I thought I knew the steps by heart. Apparently, I did not. That person frantically hitting the CANCEL button at that ATM on Chicago Ave.? Totally me.

I’m so happy you’re writing again. I missed it. But don’t forget to show us some of your wonderful photos! And don’t forget your $$ in the ATM anymore.

Woah thanks for the comments! From the top: Shannon - reading your blog made me miss writing, so I feel the same way.

Mom - you’re commenting! Thanks for few bucks, is it in coins? Money is so damn heavy.

Emily - You are so funny, I’m not that daring!

Jenna - no worries :) I’ll be posting photos still. Just the ones I particularly like, though.
